About SOL Germany

Built on show floors, not in boardrooms.

We design, fabricate and install exhibition stands across Europe — built in our own workshop, stored in our own warehouses, delivered by one project manager per stand. SOL Germany is the European studio of the SOL group.

Our story

Where SOL Germany comes from

Before there was a company, our founders were on exhibition floors across Europe, Asia and the Middle East — drawing stands, cutting timber, wiring lighting and standing on site through build-up. Those years taught us where exhibition projects actually go wrong, and it is almost never the design. It is a stand that renders beautifully but cannot be built in the time available. It is a workshop that misses the crating deadline. It is an exhibitor chasing five separate suppliers the week before doors open, discovering that nobody owns the problem.

So the company was built on one rule: keep everything under one roof. Our own designers, our own carpenters and metalworkers, our own printers and site supervisors. When the same team that designs a stand also builds and installs it, accountability cannot get lost in a handover — there is nobody to hand it to.

The test we hold ourselves to is simple: on the morning the show opens, is the client walking the floor talking to visitors, or are they still talking to us? If it is the second, we got something wrong upstream.

Today we build everything from a 9 m² modular booth to a double-decker custom stand. The method has not changed: every project is pre-built and checked before it ships, and every client has one project manager from first brief to dismantle.

We also say no. If a brief needs a specialism we do not have in-house, or a timeline genuinely cannot be met to the standard we would put our name on, we say so and point you somewhere better. A stand delivered late or half-right costs an exhibitor far more than the build ever did.

How we work

Four habits that keep shows calm

None of these are unusual ideas. They are simply the things that stop going wrong once you commit to doing them every single time.

01

Every stand is pre-built before it ships

Your stand is assembled in full at our facility, photographed, and walked through with you before it is crated. Problems get solved in the workshop where they are cheap and quiet — not on the show floor at 9pm the night before opening, where they are expensive and public.

02

One project manager, start to finish

Whether the stand is 9 m² or 900 m², one person owns it from the first brief to dismantle. You never re-explain your project to a new department, and an on-site supervisor stays with you through build-up, show days and breakdown.

03

Itemised pricing, no surprises

Every quotation lists what each element costs — structure, graphics, furniture, AV, electrics, logistics, install. The price you approve is the price you pay. When scope changes, the quote changes visibly, line by line, so you decide rather than discover.

04

Built to be used again

Our modular systems are engineered for repeat use across different shows and stand sizes, and we store them between shows in our own warehouses. A stand that works for three years beats one skipped after three days.

Happy Client Happy SOL
Happy Client, Happy SOL

The only measure that has ever mattered to us

It is written on a badge because it is easy to forget under deadline pressure. A stand is not finished when it is installed — it is finished when the client is glad they chose us. That is a harder bar, and it is the one we work to.

  • We tell you earlyIf something will not work, you hear it while there is still time to change it.
  • We finish before you arriveYou should walk onto a stand that is ready, not into a build still in progress.
  • We answer after the showStorage, repairs, the next edition — the relationship does not end at dismantle.
Where we build

Close to the floor, wherever the show is

Exhibition work is a logistics business as much as a design one. Holding our own warehousing across Europe is what lets us store a stand between editions, turn a rebuild around quickly, and keep freight costs inside the quote instead of bolted on afterwards.

Germany

Frankfurt

Our main base — on the doorstep of Messe Frankfurt, one of the busiest exhibition grounds in Europe.

Germany

Düsseldorf

Warehousing for the Rhine-Ruhr circuit, serving Düsseldorf, Cologne and Essen.

France

Paris

Office and warehousing for the French circuit — Porte de Versailles, Villepinte and Nord Villepinte.

Building regularly in: Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Berlin, Munich, Hanover, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Paris, Lyon, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, Brussels and Basel — with further storage locations across Europe. If your show is somewhere else on the continent, ask: freight and crew planning is part of the quote, not an afterthought.

Who you'll work with

The people behind the builds

Designers, carpenters, metalworkers, printers and site supervisors — all in-house, all on the same team. The person who answers your first email is still there on dismantle day.
